Rodtang Jitmuangnon is grateful for the opportunities that ONE Championship has given him.
The ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion will return to the circle this Friday night as the promotion heads to his home country. In the Impact Arena in Bangkok, ‘The Iron Man’ will strap on bigger gloves for a kickboxing clash with Chinese striker Jiduo Yibu.
Ahead of the ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video matchup, Rodtang sat down with the promotion to discuss all the wonderful things ONE Championship has made possible for himself and his family:
“I enjoyed spending time with my family. I am so happy to be able to give them anything they want. I bought my own house and now my brothers and sisters live together. My parents are getting old and they need to be looked after closely. I will take care of them the best I can.”

Undefeated in Muay Thai competition under the ONE banner, Rodtang will make a rare appearance in the world of kickboxing. ‘The Iron Man’ has competed in kickboxing once before inside the circle, defeating Tagir Khalilov via split decision nearly two years ago. Should he earn the win on Friday night, it will be his 270th career win at just 25.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon doesn’t know where he would be without ONE Championship
Rodtang Jitmuangnon had a pretty successful career prior to signing with ONE Championship in 2018. However, ‘The Iron Man’ has seen his popularity explode inside the circle as he continues to dominate the competition with his granite chin and aggressive style of fighting.
Now one of the most popular combat sports athletes in the world has shared his appreciation for the promotion he calls home:
“Thanks to ONE, my life is getting better and better. The organization promotes fighters very well. They give us anything we need. If I didn’t join ONE, I don’t know if I would have had a chance to have everything I have today. I can’t find the words to describe ONE’s commitment. Everything they have done all along for all athletes represents their goodwill.”
You can catch Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s walk to the circle this Friday night as part of the stacked ONE Fight Night 6 lineup. The event will air live and for free in North America on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription.
