ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon is one of the fiercest competitors to ever step inside the circle.

His incredible 13-fight win streak in ONE's striking competitions that has seen him dominate the division and become a huge star in combat sports. Through this majestic run, ‘The Iron Man’ has become known for his relentless fighting style.

Whilst he frequently taunts his opponents inside the circle to provoke them, he shows respect at the final bell, especially if his opponents came to throw down with him on fight night.

Ahead of his return to action at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, where he faces Mexico’s Edgar Tabares, ONE Championship posted a clip of the other side to Rodtang:

ONE CEO says Rodtang will be good to go for first on-ground U.S. event in Colorado

Following the events of ONE Fight Night 8, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed in an interview that Rodtang Jitmuangnon will be fine to compete at ONE Fight Night 10.

On March 24, ‘The Iron Man’ was scheduled to compete against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the main event. With the chance to become a two-sport world champion, fans were devastated to learn that Rodtang would be forced to pull out of the contest due to an injury he suffered in training.

With another fight already scheduled, fans were then worried that he would be out of this contest also, but Chatri confirmed that his fight on May 5 is still going ahead.

At ONE Fight Night 10, the biggest name Muay Thai has ever seen will make his debut in the United States when he takes on Mexico’s Edgar Tabares in Denver, Colorado.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, ONE’s CEO said that with the time before his next contest, ‘The Iron Man’ should have enough time to recover:

“I haven’t talked to Rodtang and his camp yet but obviously, I wish him well. I know he’s going to do a quick seminar tour. He hurt his lower back, so he wants to do a quick rest before the May 5th event. But he’s ready to go on May 5th [for Edgar Tabares] …”
