"We need your support and encouragement. Don't forget that there are usually wins and losses in competitions."
Win or lose, combat sports fans should support both fighters. ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion continued:
"Don't just be happy only when your athlete wins. You should support him on the day he loses as well. Fan support and encouragement is good energy for fighters to come back to fight again. I think these are very good things. I want everyone to understand this."
Rodtang is seeking kickboxing gold against Superlek
'The Iron Man' is hoping that fans are thoroughly entertained in the ONE Fight Night 8 main event and will support both men regardless of the result. However, Rodtang is still a fierce competitor who wants to earn kickboxing gold in the ONE circle.
In an interview with ONE Championship, the flyweight Muay Thai king said:
“Absolutely. I am ready [to face Superlek for the belt]. Of course, I know that I have to participate in the flyweight division, and then I will have my second [ONE World Title]. My goal right now is to stay in the flyweight division and claim the kickboxing title. I want to go step-by-step. I want to claim my title in kickboxing first, and then I will go to MMA.”
