Rodtang Jitmuangnon has opened up about his upcoming opponent being changed on short notice.
‘The Iron Man’ was scheduled to make his flyweight kickboxing return against Daniel Puertas at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. Unfortunately, the fight card was shuffled when Ilias Ennahachi pulled out of the co-main event due to weight issues, promoting Puertas to the flyweight kickboxing world title fight against Superlek.
As a result, Rodtang was matched up against Jiduo Yibu. During an interview with SCMP MMA, the 25-year-old Muay Thai phenom discussed the opponent switch by saying:
“These two opponents are very different from each other. Puertas is very aggressive and he has a similar style as I do. I know his weakness, which is if I keep pushing he will feel [my power] as I hit him. Yibu is very different. He’s left-handed so we have to come up with a new plan.”

Rodtang has committed to becoming a ONE kickboxing world champion after dominating the flyweight Muay Thai division. ‘The Iron Man’ has never backed down from a challenge, so the last-second opponent change isn’t an issue for the 25-year-old superstar.
ONE Fight Night 6 is live and free in North America with Prime Video.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon has no issues with late opponent switch for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video
Regardless of the opponent, Rodtang Jitmuangnon shows up ready for war. The objective has always remained the same heading into his kickboxing matchup against Jiduo Yibu at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. During the same interview with SCMP MMA, ‘The Iron Man’ had this to say:
“I’ve been training very hard. It’s the only thing I’m doing right now… I am happy to fight with any opponent that the promoter is happy to give me. Of course I will have to agree with the change.”
Rodtang is destined for greatness in the ONE Championship flyweight kickboxing division. The 25-year-old won his only fight in the division against Tagir Khalilov in February 2021. With a win against Yibu, ‘The Iron Man’ would have a solid argument for a title shot against the winner of Superlek vs. Daniel Puertas.
