ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon is a fierce competitor once he steps inside the circle.
Whilst he does show respect to his opponents after the final bell, ‘The Iron Man’ is known for his extremely confident fighting style where he frequently taunts his opponents.
Ahead of his return at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, where he will defend his flyweight crown against Mexico’s Edgar Tabares, ONE Championship posted a clip on Instagram of his most recent world title defense.
Facing ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4, Rodtang Jitmuangnon was clearly frustrated by his opponent. Whilst he didn’t engage with him in a war of words before the contest, he let his hands do the talking inside the circle.

Despite Lasiri’s best efforts to not engage with ‘The Iron Man’, he was caught and dropped by the defending world champion, which of course produced a moment of showboating.

Chatri Sityodtong says "the world wants to see" Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek fight
Following the events of ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Rodtang Jitmuangnon has unfinished business with Superlek Kiatmoo9.
‘The Iron Man’ was set to compete for two-sport world champion status by taking on the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion in Singapore, but was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury suffered in training.
Whilst Superlek stayed on the card, competing against late-notice replacement Danial Williams, there were doubts surrounding the flyweight Muay Thai king’s upcoming scheduled defense.
ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed that Rodtang would be fine to compete against Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10 with enough time to recover.
Sityodtong also spoke to the media after ONE Fight Night 8 about the canceled main event being rescheduled at some point, regardless of the ruleset:
“It’s either Muay Thai or kickboxing, I don’t know which one... But clearly, the world wants to see them fight.”
Rodtang Jitmuangnon will now turn his attention to defending his flyweight Muay Thai world title at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 as he makes his US debut at the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
Whilst he now has Edgar Tabares in his sights, the contest with Superlek is still hanging overhead.
