‘The Iron Man’ will battle it out with short-notice replacement Jiduo Yibu as part of Friday night’s stacked ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video lineup. Airing live from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Rodtang plans to put on a show for the hometown crowd but knows that is easier said than done. In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘The Iron Man’ said:

“Jiduo’s strength is that he doesn’t say no to fighting toe-to-toe. I watched his videos and I admit that he is a dangerous one. He is bold and tough. He can absorb a lot of attacks. As much as I have studied him, I still can’t find his weakness.”

Rodtang Jitmuangnon continued, saying:

“But I think he may have a weak stomach, because in his fight with Daniel, Daniel only hit him in the face, not the stomach. I don’t know what will happen if he got hit in the liver and I’d like to try. I have to lure him to walk toward me, so I can fight with him easier.”

Fans just got one step closer to seeing Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Nong-O Gaiyanghadao inside the circle

Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao are by far and away the two most impressive Muay Thai specialists in the world today. Fans have clamored for a superfight between the two warriors, but thus far, the chances of that were slim, with Rodtang showing little interest in a change of weight class:

"I don't think I will make my way to another division to challenge for the world title such as Nong-O, he's a legend,” Rodtang told ONE Championship. “I respect him a lot. But it's not the time for me to go up and fight with him just now. Maybe in the future, when he is in a wheelchair or something.”

Well, thanks to a blockbuster announcement from the ONE CEO at the ONE Fight Night 6 press event, Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Nong-O Gaiyanghadao could very well happen and it could be sooner than we all thought.

ONE Championship has announced an unprecedented 16-man open-weight Muay Thai tournament pitting the best strikers in the world against one another for a $1 million grand prize:

“I would like to announce the greatest Grand Prix in the history of the sport of Muay Thai,” ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong said during the press conference. “$1 million U.S. dollars. Sixteen of the best strikers in the world will descend this year for $1 million U.S. dollars. Fans all over the world, tell me who you want to see.”
