ONE flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon is training for his upcoming kickboxing bout against Superlek Kiatmoo9, even sparring with his wife in the gym.

The world-class striker has a pair of fights booked at the moment. He will first challenge Superlek for the flyweight kickboxing world title at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. Then, he will look to defend his flyweight Muay Thai crown against Edgar Tabares at the historic ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video event.

ONE Championship recently shared a video via Instagram of Rodtang sparring with his wife in the gym:

Rodtang open to making MMA debut in the near future, but hasn't been training grappling

The Muay Thai superstar has teased a transition to MMA for quite some time. He claims to be open to making his MMA debut in the near future, telling reporters in his ONE on Prime Video 4 post-fight presser:

“Of course, it would be a great opportunity if I could be there. It is a young man's dream to perform in the US. I don’t have an ideal opponent. You can pick any opponent for me in any rule – Muay Thai, kickboxing, or MMA.”

The 25-year-old added:

“I haven’t been training MMA or grappling lately because since I heard that I will be defending my flyweight championship world title, I was actually focusing on Muay Thai training because you cannot do everything all at the same time.”

The champ has to put his move to MMA on the backburner while he deals with the two title fights already on his schedule. Nevertheless, his MMA debut will be one of the most highly anticipated in promotional history.
