ONE flyweight Muay Thai champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon is getting ready to defend his crown against Joseph Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4. 'The Iron Man' plans to take over the division across disciplines in ONE Championship.
The 25-year-old striking sensation will be making his fourth flyweight Muay Thai title defense. This time, he'll be sharing the circle with another champion, the current strawweight Muay Thai king, Italy's Lasiri.
In the fight's lead-up, Rodtang spoke with the promotion about his plans to take over the flyweight division across disciplines:
"Getting the kickboxing belt is still in my plans. After I win this upcoming world title match with Lasiri, I’ll challenge Ilias Ennahachi for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title next. And if I win, I will go to MMA next."

The Thai phenom already has his crosshairs fixated on ONE flyweight kickboxing champ Ilias Ennahachi, who is unbeaten inside the ONE circle.
Rodtang wants to move up in weight, but not just yet
The Muay Thai practitioner has high goals set for himself, including moving up in weight class. However, the Jitmuangnon Gym affiliate has business to settle at flyweight first. He told ONE Championship:
"Of course, I’d love to. But only after I will have achieved my goals - a world champion in Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA. [Then] I will probably move to higher division."
Rodtang is undoubtedly one of the best strikers on ONE's roster. A transition to MMA would draw tons of attention and anticipation.
For now, the flyweight champ is entirely focused on defending his belt against Lasiri. Expecting a war, 'The Iron Man' believes he has one distinct advantage over his upcoming opponent, which he revealed in an interview with ONE:
"If we trade, I’m sure I can knock him down. Everything he has is on the same level as me, except for his power. His attacks are weaker than mine.”
Be sure to watch Rodtang look to defend his flyweight Muay Thai world title against challenger and strawweight champ Joseph Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18 (US primetime), live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
