Rodtang Jitmuangnon has faced off with some of the very best during his time at the very top of Muay Thai. 'The Iron Man' is no stranger to being in the spotlight, but now he's excited to share that stage with his next opponent.
For as much as he's an icon in Thailand, the same can be said for Takeru Segawa in his native Japan. The star status, success, and fighting styles of both men have made this particular matchup one of the true dream fights that is out there in striking sports.
Fans nearly got their wish at ONE 165 earlier this year when ONE looked to put on a historic event inside the Ariake Arena in Japan. Unfortunately, in the lead-up to the fight, Rodtang suffered an injury and was forced to withdraw from the contest with Superlek stepping into his place.
After months of build-up and heated encounters between the two men, they're finally rescheduled. At ONE 172 on March 23, they will headline the iconic Saitama Super Arena in one of the biggest kickboxing fights of all time.

"I've also been waiting for this fight with Takeru for a long time."
Rodtang has been waiting to settle the score with Takeru
2024 has not been an easy year for Rodtang Jitmuangnon with several setbacks outside of the ring that he has had to overcome.
He was devastated to withdraw from ONE 165 in January and since then, he has been focused on making it right by standing across from Takeru.
'The Iron Man' has finally got his wish and on March 23, he will look to put on a show in enemy territory by coming to Japan and beating the crowd favorite.
