ONE flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon defended his world title for the fourth time at ONE on Prime Video 4. He dominated Joseph Lasiri over the course of five rounds.

The Thai striker has put his MMA training on hold for now. Yet, that doesn't mean he isn't intent on keeping his skills sharp. In preparation for his most recent flyweight Muay Thai title defense, Rodtang spent his entire fight camp focusing on striking. He said in his post-fight interview:

"I haven't been training MMA or grappling lately because since I heard that I will be defending my flyweight Muay Thai world title, I was focusing on Muay Thai training all the time because you cannot do everything at the same time."

Rodtang added:

"If you just train kickboxing, switching to MMA or grappling, when you try to defend your title, it will not work. I just had to focus on one thing at a time. So that's what I was doing to defend this title tonight. So no, I'm not training any MMA lately."

His decision to shift his entire focus to defending his title has clearly paid off. He handled business in dominant fashion against the current strawweight Muay Thai champ, Joseph Lasiri.

Rodtang looking to win ONE kickboxing world title

The 25-year-old ONE legend is planning to add to his stardom by securing titles in other sports—the first of which will be kickboxing:

“What I'm aiming for right now is that I'm going to get the world title for kickboxing as a second sport world champion. So after that, I'm going to go all the way in MMA and then challenge whoever the champion is at that time. It's coming soon as a future fight for sure.”

Rodtang is currently 1-0 in kickboxing under ONE's banner, beating Tagir Khalilov via split decision. Meanwhile, 'The Iron Man' will have to dethrone flyweight kickboxing champ Ilias Ennahachi to achieve his goal. Ennahachi is scheduled to make his third title defense against Superlek Kiatmuu9 at ONE on Prime Video 6 in Thailand.
