Family is the most important thing for 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon. The ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion is extremely proud that he can use his fighting career to take care of his parents.
After defending his throne at ONE on Prime Video 4, Rodtang discussed this in the post-fight press conference:
"I can say that my ultimate goal is the happiness of my family. Because fighting is already my career. I have been doing it and in every fight, I give my best. Every fight is the best fight that I have gone through. I don't know if it's called success right now but I'm happy to see that my family's happy."
At the end of the day, the Thai-born athlete's main goal is to ensure his family is cared for. He continued:

"So my ultimate goal is my family, to see everybody happy, not struggling financially and everything. So this is what makes me happy now and I consider this a success."
At ONE on Prime Video 4, 'The Iron Man' dominated against the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri to earn his 269th professional career victory.
Rodtang's motivation has always been his parents
'The Iron Man' began his Muay Thai career at the age of 8. His goal then was the same as now; to take care of his parents. Competing in Muay Thai was a way for him to provide income for his family. In an interview with ONE, 'The Iron Man' explained:
“All us siblings had to work together and take care of each other – my parents weren’t around a lot. They really didn’t have a lot of time to spend time with us, so they raised us to be self-sufficient. If there was no food, we were expected to go fishing and feed ourselves."
Rodtang's entire career began because he needed to ensure his family had income. But the fortitude he is known for was taught by his parents. The Thai-born fighter continued:
“My mom taught me to fight for my life and to have a strong heart. Fighting can be hard sometimes – you’re often tired and sore. Still, my life was easier than theirs, so I can’t give up!”
