Rodtang happy with how his 2022 went, now eyeing world titles in three sports
The 25-year-old star attained a pair of Muay Thai victories in 2022, beating Jacob Smith and Joseph Lasiri. His lone defeat last year came in a mixed-rules superfight against MMA legend Demetrious Johnson.
Overall, the flyweight Muay Thai king is content with how he performed in 2022, telling the South China Morning Post:
"It’s been a mixed feeling. Overall, I’m happy that I can defend my title at ONE Championship. I am a little disappointed with some fights that I’ve missed, but overall I feel good."
He added:
"Of course, I’d love to. But only after I will have achieved my goals - a world champion in Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA. [Then] I will probably move to higher division."
'The Iron Man' will have the opportunity to become a two-sport champion when he takes on Superlek. After that, he will defend his flyweight Muay Thai strap at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video against Mexico's Edgar Tabares.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 25 to watch Rodtang challenge Superlek for the flyweight kickboxing world title, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
All of the action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
