Israel Adesanya previews Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Asakura title fight at UFC 310
Israel Adesanya recently broke down the upcoming Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Asakura title fight at UFC 310 and shared his thoughts on the contest. Pantoja is coming off a solid unanimous decision win over Steve Erceg at UFC 301 in May, while Asakura last beat Juan Archuleta at RIZIN 45 last December. This will notably be Asakura's UFC debut fight.
In a recent YouTube video, 'The Last Stylebender' shared his thoughts on the flyweight showdown and outlined how he saw the fight playing out. He said:
"Pantoja knows how to scramble, but he also knows how to scrap... A guy like this, Kai, you just have to make him pay... Who has made him pay yet for being reckless? You have to have someone who is confident in their skills enough to not fear [Asakura's] barrage."
Adesanya continued:
"Pantoja can grapple. I'm sure [Asakura] is very well-versed. But this is going to be a crazy fight. This might be the sleeper fight for f**k sake! And it's the main event. All I know is this card is f**king stacked."
