Fans were split over Ryan Garcia's recent comments on the U.S. presidential elections. Garcia has been embroiled in several controversies in recent times and his opinions have polarized fight fans.

In a recent video posted on X, journalist Nick Sortor interviewed two individuals, who showed inclination towards the Democratic Party in the upcoming presidential elections. One of the individuals in the video, who belonged to the LGBTQ+ community, said that they would vote for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris to "protect their rights." Their opinion did not seem to sit well with Garcia.

Replying to Sortor's post, Garcia said:

"SMH. Some people shouldn’t be allowed to vote. People with low low IQ, I don’t think should have an opinion on who’s president. One, because they can’t think for themselves, but also [because] even when they do they have no logic."

The 26-year-old boxer has been dealing with a fair share of difficulties in his personal and professional life of late. In April, Garcia secured the biggest win of his professional boxing career when he defeated Devin Haney by majority decision. However, the win was overturned to a no-contest after Garcia tested positive for a banned substance. He was fined $1.1 million and received a one-year suspension for violating the anti-doping policy.

In July, the WBC expelled Garcia for his racial comments on the African community. It is speculated that 'KingRy' has been dealing with mental health issues. His father recently claimed that alcohol abuse is one of the biggest problems in the fighter's life and urged him to seek therapy.
