Controversial boxing star Ryan Garcia has called out Terence Crawford and claimed that 'Bud' is not on the same skill level as Canelo Alvarez.

Crawford is considered by many to be one of the greatest boxers competing today. The 36-year-old is undefeated as a professional (41-0) and currently boasts undisputed champion status in both the light welterweight and welterweight divisions.

'Bud' has also recently added to his impressive resume, picking up the WBA and WBO light middleweight titles last month when he defeated Israil Madrimov via unanimous decision.

Following his win over Madrimov, Crawford has been calling for a blockbuster clash against super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. Many fans believe it is the fight to make, as the American is seeking to conquer the rest of the middleweight divisions.

One person who isn't a fan of the potential bout, however, is Garcia. 'KingRy' recently took to X to dismiss Crawford's desire to face Alvarez, believing that he isn't a big enough name to entice the Mexican superstar. Garcia has instead demanded Crawford face him next. He tweeted:

"Crawford you aren’t on canelo level. You are a great dedicated athlete. But you can’t compare to my self or canelo. Crazy little man relax keep robbing everyone while bringing in no money. Please fight me."

Terence Crawford weighs in on Ryan Garcia's recent controversies: "To watch a man like that self-destruct, what type of friend are you?"

Terence Crawford has offered his take on Ryan Garcia's behavior over recent months, which has seen the 26-year-old be at the heart of multiple controversies.

'KingRy' is currently serving a one-year boxing suspension for testing positive for a banned substance following his bout against Devin Haney. Garcia's issues didn't stop there, however, as he has been accused of alcohol addiction as well as also being expelled from the WBC for multiple racist, Islamaphobic, and transphobic rants on his social media.

'Bud' discussed about Garcia during a recent appearance on Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast. During the interview, Crawford was asked if he had reached out to Garcia at any point, to which he responded:

"Nah, not really. I don't have a relationship with him like that. So, that's not my place. That's the guys that surround him. For you to call yourself a friend, a brother, a cousin, to watch a man like that self-destruct, what type of friend are you? Anything that I do that's going to challenge me to anything negative or lead me down the wrong path, there's not one person in my camp right now that wouldn't grab me and be like, 'Hey, you ain't doing that.'"
