'Super' Sage Northcutt is returning to action at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in May—and he's sharpening his skills daily alongside killers at Team Alpha Male.

Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California has one of the best rosters of fighters of any gym on earth. Sage Northcutt is putting in work with world-class athletes like Josh Emmett, Song Yadong, and of course, Uriah Faber, amongst others.

Despite not competing since May 2019, 'Super' Sage believes that his training at Team Alpha Male has got him primed and ready for his return. He told ONE:

"All I can say is I’m surrounded with an incredible team at Team Alpha Male, some of the best fighters around. It’s great in all aspects – great wrestlers, great grapplers, great strikers, along with great coaches. I’m stepping into the gym every single day. It’s like a fight every day."

Sage Northcutt explains why he doesn't believe ring rust will be an issue after his four-year layoff

The 26-year-old is slated to face Pakistan's Ahmed Mujtaba at ONE Fight Night 10. It will be Northcutt's first fight since his knockout loss to Cosmo Alexandre in his ONE Championship debut.

With that said, Northcutt doesn't envision ring rust playing a factor in his return. He said on The MMA Hour:

“I’ve been staying sharp, I’ve been training with incredible training partners, some of the best wrestlers, some of the best jiu-jitsu guys, some of the best strikers. Plus, I’ve been training at 10th planet down in Texas […] So, ring rust, I don’t think it’s going to be a problem.”

Northcutt has clearly been staying active in the gym since recovering from his facial fractures and other health concerns. Still young in his career, the Texas native has a ton of fight left in him.

During his tenure in North America, Northcutt put forth some impressive performances in a run that saw him lose only twice in 13 fights.

Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 to watch Sage Northcutt take on Ahmed Mujtaba in his return to action, live from the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The entire event is live and free to watch for North American audiences with an active Prime subscription.
