Sage Northcutt is ready for another ONE Championship event in the U.S.

At ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video, Northcutt returned to action after a four-year layoff. To make the experience even better, ‘Super’ Sage fought in his home country for ONE’s first event in North America. The 27-year-old superstar quickly silenced the doubters with a first-round heel hook submission against Ahmed Mujtaba, leading to a $50,000 performance bonus.

Two weeks later, Northcutt can’t wait for whenever ONE decides to hold another event in the U.S. He showcased his excitement by posting a picture on Instagram of his latest fight with the caption saying:

“Can’t wait for @onechampionship to have another fight in the US now that they hit the US market with a bang!!”

Sage Northcutt made his ONE Championship debut in May 2019. The multiple-time karate world champion fought at welterweight instead of his normal weight class of lightweight, which he ended up regretting.

‘Super’ Sage suffered a 29-second knockout loss against Cosmo Alexandre, leading to several facial fractures and surgery. After fully recovering and overcoming a severe case of COVID-19, Northcutt proved he’s still a force to be reckoned with and fully capable of becoming a world champion.

In April 2021, Northcutt pulled out of a fight against Shinya Aoki because of his battle with COVID. Now that he’s back on track, 'Super' hopes to reschedule the matchup against the Japanese MMA legend.
