Sage Northcutt is preparing for his return to the circle and is getting some help from a well-known California combat sports icon for it.
On May 5, 'Super' will venture to the 1stBank Center in Colorado for ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. The event will serve as Northcutt’s long-awaited return to the circle as well as ONE Championship’s highly anticipated U.S. debut. Ahead of his big comeback, ‘Super’ spoke with The MMA Superfan, revealing that he has been training alongside retired bantamweight star Urijah Faber.
“Yeah, I have Urijah Faber there as well. It’s been obviously, I believe three years since I fought and he’s super excited, and I’m really excited for him coaching and to be in my corner. We’re gonna be working tons of good stuff and my game plan for this fight is just making sure I’m ready.”
Sage Northcutt will need all the help he can get as he steps into the circle for a clash with Pakistani mixed martial arts world champion Ahmed Mujtaba. ‘Wolverine’ has an impressive 10-2 MMA record, with four of those wins coming under the ONE Championship banner. He is coming off back-to-back finishes over Rahul Raju and Abraao Amorim. The Pakistani will look to make it three in a row, spoiling Sage Northcutt’s big return in the process.

Sage Northcutt’s return at ONE Fight Night 10 is one of many highlights planned for the promotion’s historic event
Sage Northcutt’s first fight in nearly four years is more than enough to excite any MMA fan, but ONE Championship isn’t stopping there for its historic ONE Fight Night 10 event. In the main event of the evening, ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his title against division rival and former titleholder Adriano Moraes in perhaps the biggest trilogy fight in ONE history.
That will be the last of three ONE world title fights that kick off with ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci returning to defend his world title against Yemen’s Osamah Almarwai. Rounding out the evening’s world title fights is ‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon, who goes for his 12th Muay Thai victory inside the circle as he defends his ONE flyweight Muay Thai title. Hoping to dethrone the Thai superstar will be Mexico’s Edgar Tabares.
Fans in attendance and watching around the world will also be treated to the return of Stamp Fairtex, a high-stakes welterweight clash between knockout artist Roberto Soldic and former ONE world champion Zebaztian Kadestam, and Reinier de Ridder’s return to submission grappling for a superfight with 20-year-old BJJ prodigy Tye Ruotolo.
Amazon Prime Video subscribers can catch all the action live and for free in U.S. primetime on May 5.
