Alex Pereira was his usual stoic self when he shed light on his altercation with Jamahal Hill at the UFC Performance Institute during a recent interview.
It is no secret that Hill is not over his loss against Pereira. Ever since the KO at UFC 300, 'Sweet Dreams' has been busy making excuses, claiming that he was taken by surprise during the contest after Herb Dean's brief intervention.
Hill believes he could've given the Brazilian a run for his money if not for the pause that he claims enabled the light heavyweight champion to get the jump on him. Sure enough, tensions spilled over as Hill recently confronted 'Poatan' at the UFC PI.

While the pair engaged in a heated verbal exchange, cooler heads prevailed as Pereira's trainer separated the two.
During a recent interview at the 16th Fighters Only MMA World Awards, Pereira spoke out against his former opponent, saying:
"Well, I was just minding my business, doing my training, Jamahal pulled up, [and] said some stuff, but I saw him doing that before. No altercation, just some words and I saw him doing that before. So it's all good."
Interestingly, despite recent transgressions, Pereira hasn't ruled out running it back with Hill. Talking about a potential rematch, he said:
"Yeah absolutely, I've expressed that myself, maybe [if] he pass through this challenge, I'll give him another fight. So who knows, why not?"
Check out Alex Pereira's comments below (0:29):
Hill is set to face former champion Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 in January, while 'Poatan' is expected to take on No.1-ranked contender Magomed Ankalaev sometime next year.
Alex Pereira believes Jon Jones' fight might be "inevitable"
Heavyweight champion Jon Jones is hell-bent on facing Alex Pereira. However, his heavyweight commitments appear to be preventing him from securing that matchup.
Dana White has reiterated countless times that the Tom Aspinall fight is next in store for 'Bones' should he continue his fighting career.
'Poatan', however, believes there is one way the UFC would be forced to let him fight the consensus MMA GOAT:
"He's got to go through Aspinall first, right? That's his next challenge, but I think if he passes Tom Aspinall, it's going to be inevitable."
Interestingly, not long ago Pereira was linked to a heavyweight clash against Aspinall. Perhaps the Brazilian's vision will come true and he'll have the chance to become the first three-division champ.
