Sean O'Malley is continuing to lengthen the story of his disagreement with Conor McGregor stemming from a tweet that 'The Notorious' sent out in May. After addressing the situation on his YouTube channel, 'Sugar' went further into detail in a recent interview.
The UFC bantamweight champion appeared in a video on The MacLife YouTube channel on June 7, a part of the combat sports media site founded by McGregor. There, O'Malley recanted the statement he made on his YouTube channel, instead saying he has not spoken to McGregor, but confirmed he has no ill feelings toward the former two division champion.
O'Malley said:
"I jokingly said on the podcast that [Conor McGregor and I] talked and we're good but that never happened. I don't have a direct line to him. I've never really talked to Conor outside of the one time we talked in person. But I'll always be a Conor fan."

Sean O'Malley "hoping for the Sphere" against Merab Dvalishvili
In his eight-minute conversation with The MacLife, Sean O'Malley discussed his upcoming title defense against Merab Dvalishvili.
With the fight still yet to be confirmed, O'Malley said:
"[The UFC] told me they'll know at the end of the month what date [I'll be fighting Merab Dvalishvili]. I'm still kinda hoping for the Sphere but if it's December, that's fine with me. I'd like it to be in Vegas regardless."
O'Malley and Dvalishvili have not been booked to face each other but the fight is widely expected after the champion declared 'The Machine' to be his next opponent and Dana White acknowledged the same following UFC 298.
Until the fight is confirmed, Dvalishvili continues to release comedic skits mocking the 29-year-old champion in between training sessions.
