On episode #227 of the TimboSugarShow podcast, Sean O'Malley narrated a hilarious instance where he messaged UFC flyweight fighter Erin Blanchfield. 'Sugar' texted Blanchfield when he was "high as f**k" asking if she'd 'like' his friend's picture.

Here's what Sean O'Malley said:

"I literally messaged Erin [Blanchfield]. I was high as f**k and I was like, 'This will be so funny, I bet someone will get lit.' She left me on read though."

O'Malley last fought in October 2022 at UFC 280 against former bantamweight champion Petr Yan. The bout was a closely contested fight with intense back-and-forth exchanges between the pair.

After three grueling rounds, O'Malley emerged victorious via split decision. However, many in the MMA community thought the Russian should have won owing to his takedowns and ground control time in the fight.

Sean O'Malley's rise through the UFC's bantamweight roster

A 22-year-old Sean O'Malley burst onto the scene after a first-round knockout of David Nuzzo at LFA 11 in 2017, thus earning a spot in Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) 2. 'Sugar' had a breakout performance in DWCS, knocking out Alfred Khashakyan in the first round to earn a UFC contract.

O'Malley made his promotional debut on the season finale of 'The Ultimate Fighter' 26, where he beat Terrion Ware via unanimous decision. He then went on to secure three more victories, with two first-round finishes, before meeting Marlon Vera at UFC 252.

'Chito' landed a leg kick in Round 1 that debilitated O'Malley, rendering him unable to move efficiently. Vera capitalized on this injury and proceeded to win by TKO in the first round. O'Malley was diagnosed with 'drop foot' as a result of Vera's leg kick.

Following his only career loss, O'Malley went on to finish all three of his next opponents. He then faced Pedro Munhoz at UFC 276, where the bout was declared a no-contest after Munhoz was unable to continue fighting due to an accidental eye poke.

O'Malley most recently fought Petr Yan in an intense three-round, back-and-forth bout at UFC 280. Although Yan landed more strikes in total, O'Malley had a higher volume of significant strikes.

Petr Yan also managed to take O'Malley down on numerous occasions. However, that wasn't enough to secure him victory on the judges' scorecards. With a win over 'No Mercy', O'Malley earned the No.1 contender spot.

O'Malley will most probably face the winner of Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo, which is scheduled for UFC 288 in May.
