Sean O'Malley last entered the octagon at UFC 299 in March when he defeated Marlon 'Chito' Vera via unanimous decision to defend his bantamweight title for the first time. That will change this weekend as he is set to face Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306, as the pair headline the promotion's first event at the Las Vegas Sphere.

'Suga' recently shared his prediction for the upcoming title bout. Speaking on ESPN's 'First Take', the bantamweight champion stated:

"I think it's going to be Sunday morning. It's going to be that beautiful that you're not going to be able to not talk about it. It's going to be a couple hours after. It's going to go, I believe - I'm getting these Boston vibes when I went out there and knocked out Aljamain Sterling. You know, a lot of similarities in my camp, you know, what my weights are, just weird little things."

O'Malley continued:

"I'm getting a lot of Boston - it's Aljamain's best friend, Merab. Aljo's going to be in the corner. I'm going to enjoy watching Aljo's reaction after I sleep Merab as well. So, I think it's going to be the 'Suga' show does it again. We have to stop doubting this kid. I'm an underdog again, which I enjoy."

O'Malley defeated Aljamain Sterling via second-round TKO to capture the bantamweight title at UFC 292, which took place in Boston. He will look to defend his title for the second time in a similar fashion this weekend.

Sean O'Malley makes fun of Henry Cejudo over Aljamain Sterling loss

Sean O'Malley recently made a brief appearance on Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo's podcast, Pound 4 Pound. He took the time to take a shot at the latter's loss to Aljamain Sterling before leaving the call abruptly.

O'Malley said:

"Boys, you guys know I'm a very, very busy man. I'll keep this short. I came here for two reasons. One, to praise you Kamaru, you're an absolute legend. And two, Henry, how did you let [Aljamain Sterling] take you down so easy? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, you're welcome!"

O'Malley quickly closed his computer before Cejudo could respond, leaving the interview entirely. The former double champion returned from a three-year retirement at UFC 288 last May, suffering a split decision loss to Sterling, who landed four takedowns en route to retaining his bantamweight title.
