UFC bantamweight Sean O'Malley is confident Petr Yan's chin won't be able to withstand the shots he'll land during their UFC 280 bout.

O'Malley is considered one of the hottest prospects in MMA and is one of the UFC's biggest stars. The American has been gradually pushed in his UFC career, but many fans were left shocked when it was announced that he was making the step up in competition against former champion Yan.

Discussing the fight on his podcast, The BrO'Malley Show, 'Sugar' remained true to form and stated that he's going to drop Petr Yan, even if he doesn't find the finish:

"You think his chin holds up? I'm dropping his a** at least a couple of times. Regardless if I find the finish or not, I'm dropping him. Light outs, putting him down."

As they head into UFC 280, 'Sugar' is ranked No.11 in the division and 'No Mercy' is No.1. While it may seem like O'Malley is being fed to the wolves, the 27-year-old sees the situation as a win-win scenario. If he loses, he loses to a former champion. If he wins, he's suddenly in title contention.

Petr Yan hopes to fight like Mike Tyson and KO Sean O'Malley

Former bantamweight champion Petr Yan has revealed that he's planning on finishing Sean O'Malley before the final bell and hopes it's enough to fight for the title once again.

'No Mercy' is the bookies' favorite heading into their fight but has been criticized for starting fights too slowly in the past. It's thought that Yan struggles in the early rounds of fights and usually rallies towards the end. His bout against Sean O'Malley is scheduled for three rounds, which some fans and pundits believe will give the underdog the edge.

In an interview with BT Sport, the Russian fighter hit back at his doubters and stated that he's not going to need all three rounds to find the finish. 'No Mercy' has instead opted to channel his inner Mike Tyson and expects to have his hand raised:

"You know, Mike Tyson always had taller and bigger opponents all his fight career. This Saturday night, I'm gonna be faster, stronger, you know. I have my punching power, so that's enough. Yes indeed [I plan on slipping inside and letting the big hooks go], and adding to that, I can wrestle, I have elbows, kicks, everything."
