Conor McGregor announced on Twitter that he was commencing training camp for his upcoming fight with Michael Chandler. In a tweet, 'The Notorious' stated that he was starting his camp at Big Bear in California. Tony Ferguson is infamous for having had his camps in the high-altitude city, located in Southern California.

No.2-ranked bantamweight contender Sean O'Malley responded to McGregor asking if he could join him. Here's what 'Sugar' tweeted:

"Can I come?"

A possible training camp of 'Sugar' with 'The Notorious' could make up for an incredible collaboration. Both fighters are notorious for having larger-than-life personalities and incredible fighting abilities.

Sean O'Malley recently lost the No.1-contender spot in the bantamweight rankings as Merab Dvalishvili took the spot after beating Petr Yan at UFC Fight Night 221. At this point, O'Malley's chances of fighting for the title are slim as Dvalishvili may end up fighting the winner of Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo at UFC 288.

However, Dvalishvili expressed that he doesn't want to fight his friend 'Funkmaster'. That might open up an opportunity for O'Malley, should 'Aljo' retain his title.

Henry Cejudo throws a wrench in Sean O'Malley's dreams of becoming UFC champion

With a win over Petr Yan last year at UFC 280, Sean O'Malley was all set to contend for the undisputed bantamweight title as the No.1 contender. 'Sugar' has had a stellar run up to the title, with only one loss on his record to Marlon Vera.

The fight between O'Malley and champion Aljamain Sterling looks and sounds incredible. However, the return of 'Triple-C' Henry Cejudo drew the curtains on any possible title fight involving 'Sugar' and 'Funkmaster'. Cejudo has been booked for a fight against the 135-pound champion in his comeback since retiring as dual-champ in 2020.

There is a high likelihood that O'Malley will end up fighting the Olympic wrestling gold medalist, since the UFC promised a title fight to 'Sugar' in his next fight. However, there is also the possibility that he may not fight Cejudo, since Merab Dvalishvili is No.1 in the bantamweight rankings - and may be given the title shot against Cejudo if he wins at UFC 288.

There is a whole lot of confusion right now on the UFC's bantamweight roster. If Cejudo wins, and Dvalishvili is picked next to fight him, O'Malley may end up fighting Aljamain Sterling in a non-title fight. However, if Aljamain Sterling wins at UFC 288, he may pick Sean O'Malley over Dvalishvili as 'The Machine' is his teammate.

Will Sean O'Malley be willing to wait for a title shot or end up facing someone else as a result of the confusion in the bantamweight division? We'll just have to wait and see.
