Sean Strickland has a well-known friendship with UFC content creator Nina-Marie Daniele, and recently took to X/Twitter to describe her political beliefs in curious fashion. He didn't identify Daniele as either a Republican or Democrat, instead claiming that she is far more alternative than initially perceived.
In fact, he described her as wary of the United States government, and even implied that she is a conspiracy theorist who gives credence to QAnon political beliefs. QAnon, for reference, is a political movement that promotes various conspiracy theories about the United States in particular.
"Nina is more like the QAnon shaman in her political beliefs.... Not a Republican or Democrat and deeply not trusting of the government as one should be"

Strickland made the statement in response to a fan inquiring about her political ideologies. While QAnon beliefs may be uncommon among the general public, they've found a hub among the MMA community, with several UFC fighters being alleged proponents of their conspiracy theories.
Though support for conspiracy theories in general are not new in the sport. Brazilian jiu-jitsu wizard Eddie Bravo, who is responsible for founding the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu style and training the likes of former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, is a well-known conspiracy theorist.
Others, like high-level UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell are even more vocal, with 'Thug Nasty' once claiming that the United States government stages mass shootings as an attempt to facilitate change in gun legislation. Strickland himself has also expressed skpeticism of the government.
However, he has also expressed admiration for certain politicians, despite also claiming to be neither a Republican or a Democrat.
Sean Strickland and Nina-Marie Daniele are both supporters of Donald Trump
While former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has claimed that he supports no political party in the United States, he has shown admiration for the country's current president, Donald Trump, and so has Nina-Marie Daniele. In fact, she attended the 2024 Republican National Convention in support of him.
Meanwhile, Strickland punctuated his UFC 302 post-fight interview by praising Trump and criticizing the then Biden administration for allegedly spearheading Trump's political persecution. He also previously took part in a photo-op with Trump, who remains the world's most high-profile Republican.
