Sean Strickland seemingly isn’t a fan of Ciryl Gane.
Strickland returned to the octagon for his second UFC main event in a month. The 31-year-old capitalized on a short-notice opportunity and defeated rising middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov by unanimous decision.
The UFC Vegas 67 main event featured some minor side drama as Chris Curtis, who was cornering Strickland, was seen screaming at Ciryl Gane, who was cornering Imavov.
During the post-fight media interview, the American was asked about what happened between Curtis and Gane. He responded:

“I think Chris [Curtis] was talking trash to everybody… F**k that, dude. F**k that. We’ll go meet that motherf***er [Gane] in the parking lot right now. F**k Ciryl Gane. Motherf***er, is he a Frenchy? Nah, f**k that big dude. This ain’t no honor here. We’ll beat the motherf***er in the parking lot, kneecap his a**. Nah, motherf***ker, we will go kneecap him in the f***ing parking lot.”
Strickland asked Curtis what had happened between the two UFC contenders in the midst of his profanity-laden answer. Although it couldn’t be fully heard, the altercation seemed to be just meaningless trash talk.
‘Bon Gamin’ likely isn’t looking for trouble after recently signing on to fight for the undisputed UFC heavyweight championship against Jon Jones.

Sean Strickland reacts to Francis Ngannou parting ways with the UFC
After UFC Vegas 67, Dana White revealed that Francis Ngannou had been released from his UFC contract. As a result, the UFC heavyweight title is vacant.
Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane will fight for the throne on March 4 at UFC 285. During the same post-fight interview, Sean Strickland had this to say about Ngannou parting ways with the UFC:
“I think it’s a d**n shame to see Francis [Ngannou] go. He’s f***ing iconic in the UFC. He’s probably one of the greatest heavyweights we’ve ever had. It sucks he parted ways, but I hope him and Tyson Fury fight for a lot of f***ing money. That’s the fight we deserve…”
Ngannou had been renegotiating with the UFC, hoping for more money to fight in the octagon again. Unfortunately, the promotion and its reigning heavyweight champion couldn’t come to an agreement, and ‘The Predator’ is looking to test free agency.
Although the former UFC heavyweight champion could potentially fight Tyson Fury, there haven’t been any recent updates about the matchup.
