Sean Strickland has seemingly caused quite a stir among fight fans and other netizens with a polarizing take on the purported hatred that some Americans direct at Israel. Strickland's assessment was spread over a series of tweets, addressing some fellow Americans' views about the Israel-Palestine conflict.
"There is a little irony in hating on Isreal for stealing land... Ok little white woman in America.. The land you live on...stolen..... The American wealth you're enjoying... slavery. Its just funny. You reap all the benefits of colonization but condemn others.. just ironic.."

Fans soon weighed in on Sean Strickland's assessment. One X user highlighted the dichotomy between the European colonization of America and the Israel-Palestine situation:
"Israelis are indigenous to that land."
Nonetheless, reactions varied widely.
"I feel like i should pay reparations after that."
"stupidest sh** you've said in your life"
One fan insinuated that Ari Emanuel, Jewish entrepreneur and UFC parent company Endeavor's CEO, granted him a title shot in exchange for the tweet:

Sean Strickland has previously addressed the Israel-Palestine issue
Sean Strickland has often chimed in on the Israel-Palestine topic. Earlier this year, the American fighter elicited mixed reactions from fight fans after he'd lambasted UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad, an American of Palestinian descent, for supporting Palestine.
Furthermore, Strickland has consistently signaled that he doesn't blame Israel for accepting American aid. Nevertheless, he's often questioned the U.S. government for funding its allies, including Israel and Ukraine. 'Tarzan' even urged Palestine and Ukraine to surrender against Israel and Russia respectively. An excerpt from one of his tweets about the Israel-Palestine dispute read:
"You all need to understand Israel isn't bad. They act in the best interest of Israel. We would all do the same if we switched places."
