Sean Strickland is seemingly satisfied with his UFC pay

Sean Strickland claims to be a
UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland appears to be happy with the UFC's pay structure amidst complaints voiced by several of the promotion's other fighters.

The debate surrounding fighter pay in the UFC has been a hot topic for several years. But despite the unhappiness of portions of the roster, fighters like Strickland seem to be more than satisfied.

'Tarzan' will be taking on Nassourdine Imavov in this weekend's UFC Vegas 67 main event. He will be a late-notice injury replacement after Kelvin Gastelum was forced to pull out of the contest.

In a recent interview with The Schmo, Strickland was asked if he was being taken care of financially by the UFC for being willing to step in this weekend. In typical Sean Strickland fashion, he said:

"I was planning [on] snowboarding [when I got the call]. But I'm gonna make f***ing some money so I guess I'll forgive you, after I beat you... The UFC man, they're good to me. I like the UFC guys, I like the UFC. As far as a prostitute goes, I'm a pretty happy one."

'Tarzan' concluded the UFC's 2022 fight calender on December 17 in the main event of UFC Vegas 66. His willingness to make a quick turnaround has seemingly seen him benefit monetarily.

But fighters such as Paulo Costa don't share the opinion of Sean Strickland. The Brazilian's been locked in negotiations with the UFC over an improved contract for months.

'Borrachinha' was slated to face Robert Whittaker at UFC 284 in February, but Costa refused to fight 'The Reaper' due to the UFC's reluctance to increase his pay.

With no word on a possible resolution, Paulo Costa's octagon career could be at a crossroads.

Sean Strickland shares his view on the Paulo Costa situation

Sean Strickland recently gave his opinion on Paulo Costa's contractual battle with the UFC. He alluded to the Brazilian's unprofessionality as a possible cause of his plight.

Strickland pointed to Costa's fight with Marvin Vettori in the main event of UFC Vegas 41. The bout was forced to be moved from 185 pounds to 205 pounds due to his inability to make the middleweight limit.

During a recent interview with Helen Yee, Strickland said:

"Here's the thing about Costa, and I like Costa, but he's also a f**khead. He doesn't make weight, he's an idiot. When you're a f**khead and you go to the UFC and say, 'Hey I wanna do this.' When you don't do the right things, it's hard to get the right things back."
