Sean Strickland Criticizes Australia's tax policies ahead of his fight in Australia at UFC 312
In his last fight in Australia, Strickland faced Israel Adesanya and became the UFC middleweight champion. However, ever since, he has dismissed the idea of fighting in Australia due to the country's tax policies.
Now, he is scheduled to fight in Australia at UFC 312. Strickland interacted with fans about fighters' financial struggles, and one fan asked him how taxes work in Australia.
Strickland took notice and wrote, expressing his frustration, asserting that no fighter wants to compete in Australia, everyone is forced to:
"I get absolutely fu*ked.. No one wants to go to that f**king place. I think it's like 40 [percent]. Everyone on this card is being forced to go there lol it's not by choice."
