Controverisal MAGA figure and congressional candidate Valentina Gomez, as divisive as she is, has garnered more than a few supporters along the way. Unsurprisingly, Sean Strickland is one of them. A glance at Gomez's political rhetoric tells you that she and Strickland might be a match made in Republican heaven.

Gomez's far-right sentiments have been labeled "radical" and caused a lot of backlash, mostly from left-leaning parties. Despite this, the Colombian-born American politician remained headstrong in her campaign to have a seat in Congress.

In a recent post on X, Gomez listed her qualifying accolades:

"The most qualified incoming member of Congress. 25 years old. Warrior of Jesus Christ. NCAA Div 1 Swimmer. Graduated college at 19. MBA in Finance from Tulane at 21 w/ full athletic scholarships. Earned my millions, Banned on Instagram, Facebook, Wikipedia, etc. Caught pedophiles & saved children. Ran for office at 24 & made worldwide news. Crooked Presidents & Prime ministers attacked me & failed. Nobody in Congress can match my accolades."

Strickland commented on the post using only two words:

"Biological female..."

Gomez was born May 8, 1999, in Medellin, Colombia. In 2009, her family immigrated to the US, where they settled in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 2024, Gomez started her political career by running for Missouri Secretary of State. Her campaign was riddled with anti-LGBTQ+ content online, including a video of her reading LGBTQ+ books with a flamethrower.

Despite the massive media attention she's garnered from her polarizing online antics, Gomez only secured 7.4% of the votes in the Republican primary, finishing sixth out of eight.

Recently, Gomez uploaded a now-taken-down video of her simulating a public execution of "illegal aliens" who commit violent crimes on U.S. soil. Needless to say, the video was highly condemned by the public and caused her account to be suspended.

Valentina Gomez wishes Sean Strickland luck on his upcoming title fight at UFC 312

Reading more on the X thread, it turns out that Gomez is also a fan of Sean Strickland. With the kind of far-right sentiments 'Tarzan' has been spewing online, it wouldn't be surprising that he gets the attention of political figures - for better or worse.

Gomez replied to the UFC middleweight's post with something that would paint a smile on his face:

"Absolutely. No such thing as a chick with a di**. Excited to see you win in Australia"

Strickland is set to rematch Dricus du Plessis for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia early next month. The two first faced each other at UFC 297 nearly a year ago in which Du Plessis narrowly took the belt from Strickland via a split decision.
