UFC middleweight elites Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland are set to headline the promotion's last card of the year, UFC Vegas 66. The fight night event is scheduled to be held on December 17 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

As per the live odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, No. 7-ranked contender Sean Stickland sits at -115 favorite, while former title challenger Cannonier is close behind at -105 in what is close to a 'pick 'em' fight.

As per current odds, a $1,000 wager on 'Tarzan' will return users a payout of $1,869.57 if he gets the win over Cannonier. The same bet on 'The Killa Gorilla' will result in a payout of $1,952.38 if the 38-year-old gets his hand raised.

Both fighters lost their respective last fights and will be looking forward to getting back in the win column on December 17.

In his most recent fight at UFC 276, Cannonier suffered a unanimous decision loss to Israel Adesanya. Sean Strickland, on the other hand, succumbed to a disheartening first-round knockout loss to now-reigning middleweight champion Alex Pereira at the same event.

'Tarzan' holds an impressive professional MMA record of 25 wins against four losses. Cannonier also holds a respectable resume of 15 wins and six losses.

During a recent segment of MMA pros pick with James Lynch, various UFC athletes gave their take on who they think is going to get the win in the last UFC fight of the year.

No.7-ranked UFC light heavyweight Jamahal Hill opined that the "powerful" Jared Cannonier is going to exploit Strickland's defensive deficiencies and get the win:

"I might have to go with Cannonier... right off first though just because [of] how Sean comes in, how square he does. He takes every shot and Jared is powerful and those leg kicks are nasty."

Light heavyweight fighter Johnny Walker picked 'Tarzan' over the former title challenger, saying that the 31-year-old is faster and had a bigger gas tank.

Fan-favorite heavyweight Chris Barnett explained that Sean Strickland can win the match if he "puts his hands up" and defends himself properly:

"If Strickland would put his hands up I'll give it to Strickland... I don't know why he put his hands down in front of Alex [Pereira]... But I love Strickland man... I'm definitely going to go with Strickland on that."
