Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is on an interesting tangent at the moment - as usual for the controversial former titleholder. In a recent post on X, 'Tarzan' lamented how certain famous individuals can get a "free pass" despite doing some horrific acts that society would otherwise ostracize any normal person for committing.

Not mentioning any names, Strickland may have inadvertently dropped a hint on which "famous" person he has a problem with. Needless to say, it may not be someone he necessarily wants to have a beef with.

Strickland wrote:

"It's so odd to me how famous people get the free pass... Picture if I said "hello I want you to meet my friend bob" But does steroids, Bob beats up women infront of kids, Bob hit a pregnant woman and drove away... You'd say "f**k bob" lmao society is very strange...."

Reading between the lines, an X user @Sarcasm_n_Logic replied:

"Sounds like you’re calling out Jon Jones. He’s smoke you"

Not to be out-witted in a verbal spar, Strickland swiftly replied with:

"Luckily I don't think you can own a gun with a DV charge.. f**k he plead down lol"

What about Jon Jones was Sean Strickland hinting at?

Breaking down what Sean Strickland said in his X post, it's quite safe to say that he didn't have to drop names - it was Jon Jones he was hinting at.

First, he mentioned Jones' multiple infractions when it comes to Performance-Enhancing Drug usage. Jones tested positive for some kind of PED for his bouts at UFC 200, UFC 214, and UFC 232. Additionally, he was also popped for using cocaine ahead of his bout at UFC 182.

In April 2015, Jones was involved in a hit-and-run incident involving a pregnant woman. He was later charged with a felony after it's been proven that he injured the pregnant woman and then proceeded to purposely flee the scene of the crime.

In September 2021, Jones was arrested and charged with one count of domestic battery, after his daughter called for security after he allegedly battered and beat his fiancee, Jessie Moses.

These are just three of Jones' legal incidents that Strickland has mentioned in his post. Many critics contest Jones' claim as the greatest of all time due to his troubles outside the octagon. It seems Strickland is one of those critics.
