Season 2 of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition begins production in February, targeting summer release 

The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition will release a second season in 2023.

ONE Championship continues to expand in various ways. The Asia-based combat sports promotion has added more martial arts disciplines, made plans to grow its North American audience, and released a new version of the hit reality show The Apprentice.

ONE Championship’s version of the reality show franchise aired its first season in 2021. In the same year, the Asian Academy Creative Awards acknowledged The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition by selecting them as the Best Adaption of an Existing Format and Best Non-Scripted Entertainment. In 2022, the show was made available on Netflix.

Following the first season's success, fans are eagerly awaiting the next one. ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong had this to say on Facebook about Season 2:

“It’s official! Season 2 of The Apprentice goes into production on February 3 and will air in the summer of 2023 on Netflix around the world (and on Amazon Prime Video in the US and Canada).THIS. IS. NOT. YOUR GRANDFATHER’S APPRENTICE. Get ready for the world’s toughest edition in history of The Apprentice! LET’S GOOOOO!!! #WeAreONE”

The first season of the competition started with 16 contestants, with one person being fired every week. Jessica Ramella emerged victorious, winning $250,000 and the opportunity to work under the ONE CEO.

In his announcement, Sityodtong also revealed that Season 2 would be available for North American viewers on Amazon Prime Video.

ONE Championship looks to ride its momentum into 2023

ONE Championship had some downsides in 2022 but left the calendar year with momentum overall. ONE’s expansion into North America and submission grappling was a massive step in the right direction. Going into 2023, ONE has several highly-anticipated events.

ONE on Prime Video 6 kicks off festivities for the promotion on January 13. In ONE Championship’s return to Bangkok, Thailand, ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn will defend his belt against ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix champion Chingiz Allazov.

Next, ONE on Prime Video 7 goes down on February 10. In the main event, Fabricio Andrade looks to reach his superstar potential by becoming the ONE bantamweight champion against John Lineker.

Three months later, the Asia-based promotion will make its North American debut at ONE on Prime Video 10. A trilogy fight between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes headlines the historic event.

ONE has various other intriguing events in 2023 as well. On January 20, 2023, ONE Lumpinee 1 will represent the start of a new partnership with the legendary Lumpinee Stadium. Chatri Sityodtong can also get excited for ONE to continue making submission grappling a mainstream sport, which seems to be a success thus far. Only time will tell how much the Asia-based promotion can grow with another calendar year.
