Michael Chandler has turned his attention to either Max Holloway for the BMF belt or a rematch against former BMF champion Justin Gaethje for his next octagon outing. Following Chandler's co-main event bout against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309, the exciting lightweight seems to be wanting a quick turnaround against another high-level fighter.
Despite now being 0-2 against Oliveira, Chandler's incredible fifth-round effort against the former UFC lightweight champion impressed many. Chandler returned from a two-year competitive hiatus after waiting for a Conor McGregor fight that failed to transpire during that stretch.
Appearing on Bussin' With The Boys, Chandler said that he has eyes for a BMF title fight against Max Holloway or a sequel clash with Justin Gaethje if McGregor isn't ready to step into the cage.
Several X users responded with their own ideas for what should await Michael Chandler next in the octagon, and some turned around his 'see you at the top' catchphrase to put him down.

Michael Chandler had a unique experience at UFC 309
Michael Chandler also got into the specifics of what his thoughts were on his Oliveira rematch from last weekend on the same BWTB podcast referenced above.
The 38-year-old has been in some high-octane classic fights with the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Dustin Poirier, and the aforementioned Gaethje to name a few. In that context, it's a notable claim from Chandler that this Oliveira rematch left him in the most pain he's experienced in his career.
While 'Iron' spoke about how phenomenal his training camp was, he spoke about how that Nov. 16 fire-fight left him with the most damage he has ever sustained in a mixed martial arts bout.
The former multi-time Bellator lightweight champion mentioned how the Charles Oliveira rematch left him urinating blood and experiencing swelling as well as inflammation throughout his body.
Chandler spoke about being drug tested by the New York State Athletic Commission after his fight, which was when he urinated blood.
The Missouri native seems hungry to get back in there despite sustaining more damage than he ever has at UFC 309, and the MMA world will surely be in for another exciting contest whenever Michael Chandler steps back into the cage again.
