Former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon reigned the division for over five years and defeated all challengers pitted against him by the promotion until he lost his 26-pound golden belt to the scales at ONE 169.

Among the opponents he beat was Edgar Tabares, whom he finished in the second round of their championship clash at ONE Fight Night 10 in May 2023 inside the 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.

The world's largest martial arts organization recently looked back at this outstanding performance by Rodtang by reposting the full fight replay on their YouTube channel and wrote its description with:

"Before Thai striking icon Rodtang faces off against Japanese megastar Takeru in a flyweight kickboxing super-fight at ONE 172 in Japan, check out his savage performance against Mexican warrior Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10 in 2023!"

'The Iron Man' displayed his power and top fight IQ by adjusting his fight plan accordingly against the former WBC Muay Thai champion. Rodtang closed the show with an atomic elbow strike that countered the Mexican's spinning elbow attempt.

Tabares failed to recover from it, which eventually awarded the victory to the Thai striking sensation and retained his world title. Due to this incredible performance by Rodtang, fans couldn't help but praise him, as users peacemaker54, @lastditch727, @Aegis1080, and @dka7873 sent their positive reactions through their comments:

"That finish is so clean. He punished a mistake"
"Rodtang is seemingly invincible Muay Thai warrior."
"Rodtang really is different, got hit with a beautiful spinning elbow from Edgar and just shrugged it off, insanity"
"He doesn't cut. He doesn't bleed. He doesn't get rocked. He doesn't ever get tired. Just bizarre. And it's not like he hasn't faced anyone tough. The only way he losses is if he gets choked out, and that's not even Muay Thai"
