Serghei Spivac recently expressed his thoughts on Jailton Almeida calling him out following UFC Vegas 95. In response, Spivac gave a short answer to Almeida's callout.
Spivac squared off against former opponent Marcin Tybura in a heavyweight rematch at UFC Vegas this past weekend. In their first encounter at UFC Fight Night 169, Tybura got better of his opponent and won the bout via unanimous decision.
However, in the rematch, 'Polar Bear' emerged victorious by submitting Tybura with an armbar in the opening round. With this win, Spivac now has the second-highest number of finishes (6) in the UFC heavyweight division since 2019.
During his octagon interview, Spivac stated that he wants to fight someone higher in the rankings. While the Moldovan fighter did not mention any names, fellow heavyweight Almeida is eager to be his next opponent. 'Malhadinho' took to X and called out Spivac, writing:

Spivac was on a three-fight winning streak before falling to Ciryl Gane last year. But after his victory over Tybura, he hopes to start a new run of victories and eventually earn a shot at the UFC title.
Meanwhile, Curtis Blaydes halted Almeida's 15-fight win streak earlier this year. The Brazilian bounced back with a first-round submission win over Alexandr Romanov at UFC 302.
Serghei Spivac discusses his UFC Vegas 95 win
Serghei Spivac put on an impressive display against Marcin Tybura at UFC Vegas 95, winning the bout via first-round submission. Spivac's performance earned him a bonus of $50,000. Additionally, he became the first heavyweight fighter in the promotion's history to win an armbar submission since Fabricio Werdum defeated Alexander Gustafsson in July 2020.
During the post-fight octagon interview with UFC Hall of Famer and former champion Michael Bisping, Spivac expressed his thoughts on the win, saying:
''I trained this [armbar] a lot but to be honest, I was quite nervous because for the past three weeks I wasn't able to train. I actually had an injury...So this is my time now, he's [Tybura] got his time and this is mine.''
