Shadow won’t waste time in hunt for ONE gold if he lands six-figure deal: “My next goal would be to challenge the world champion”

Rising Muay Thai star Shadow Singha Mawynn is on a mission to earn a six-figure deal with ONE Championship with a victory in his scheduled fight this week. He looks to use it as a springboard after to earn a shot at the featherweight world title.

The 24-year-old Thai standout is featured in the headlining contest at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Dec. 20 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. He will go up against seasoned opponent Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in a featherweight Muay Thai battle in the event, which will be the promotion's final show for the year.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Shadow spoke about how huge the Sitthichai match is to his career, especially the opportunties that would open for him if manages to come up with an impressive win.

He said:

"If I can get into ONE Championship, my next goal would be to challenge the world champion, whoever the world champion is at that time."

Shadow in angling to secure a six-figure deal from ONE Championship and earn a spot in the promotion's main roster at ONE Friday Fights 92 after winning in his last three matches, setting him up against the No. 3 contender in the featherweight division in Sitthichai.

Shadow confident of defeating Thai legend Sitthichai

Shadow Singha Mawynn is confident of defeating Thai legend Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in their headlining featherweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Friday Fights 92 on Dec. 20. He is banking on the impressive three-fight winning streak he has in the lead-up where he has shown his tremendous upside as a fighter.

Armed with the winning momentum and the contest having a lot of significance to his career moving forward, the Singha Mawynn affiliate said he has more than enough reason to come up with a win come fight night.

He told ONE Championship in an interview:

"If I beat him, it would be like I got an elevator ride because Sitthichai is a living legend."

Shadow made his ONE debut last February but lost by decision to Russian Mamuka Usubyan. He, however, bounced back with three straight wins to highlight his standing as an emerging force in the featherweight Muay Thai lane.

Out to frustrate him at ONE Friday Fights 92 is Sitthichai, winner in his last match in June by decision over former K-1 champion Masaaki Noiri of Japan.
