Rising featherweight MMA star 'The Cobra' Shamil Gasanov of Russia is oozing with confidence heading into his next fight this weekend, and the 29-year-old featherweight believes he will get his hand raised at the end of the night.
Gasanov is taking on tough Turkish fighter 'No Mercy' Halil Amir and he says victory is all but guaranteed, by any means necessary.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Gasanov talked about the upcoming matchup with Amir.

The Peresvet Fight Team and Tiger Muay Thai representative said:
"The ideal outcome would be for neither of us to get injured. And of course, I’m going for the win – any win, it doesn’t matter how!"
Gasanov is currently riding a two-fight winning streak, with big victories over Oh Ho Taek and Aaron Canarte. Since joining the world's largest martial arts organization in October 2022, 'The Cobra' has won three of his four fights in ONE Championship.
His only loss came against top featherweight talent 'The Lion Killer' Garry Tonon.
Meanwhile, Amir began his ONE Championship stint at lightweight, running off to a hot start with three straight victories. He moved down to featherweight for his last fight, thinking he would be stronger in a lighter division.
Unfortunately, 'No Mercy' dropped a second-round KO loss to Akbar Abdullaev.
