Sharaputdin Magomedov has revealed that UFC matchmakers prevented him from making an early comeback after his last fight. The Dagestani middleweight recently mentioned that his eagerness to perform had him considering a quick return to the octagon, but the UFC matchmakers advised against it, delaying his plans.
Bullet put on another show of his striking masterclass in his last in-octagon encounter at UFC 308 on Oct. 26. The first round of the fight stayed pretty evenly matched as his rival, Armen Petrosyan, answered many of his strikes efficiently. However, the 30-year-old landed an awesome combination of two spinning back fists at 4:52 of the second round, knocking Petrosyan out and earning himself his fourth consecutive UFC victory.
Most UFC fighters take around three months or more to return to the octagon after a fight. However, a post on X by @Home_of_Fight showcased that 'Bullet' doesn't worry much about the breaks between fights. He had planned to make a comeback in less than 30 days after his UFC 308 bout.
In a recent interview with Red Corner MMA, Magomedov revealed that he was ready to return at UFC Macau on Nov. 23.

However, the undefeated UFC middleweight mentioned that his wish couldn't turn into a reality due to the UFC matchmakers. They advised him to take more rest and spend some time before returning:
"I wanted to fight in [UFC] Macau next [scheduled for Nov. 23]. But the UFC [matchmakers] insisted I should take some time off, get hungry. Thanks to the UFC for their care, but I'm always charged and ready to perform, in Saudi Arabia or any place they want."

Sharaputdin Magomedov happily accepted the advice from the UFC authorities. He won't be competing on Nov. 23 in the UFC Macau Card. However, a recent post on X from @ChampRDS revealed that he has already fixed a date for his comeback.
It highlighted 'Bullet's; coach's words, which disclosed that he wants to return to the octagon on Feb 1. Bullet's coach also mentioned that he might lock horns with his most preferred rival, Israel Adesanya:
"We already began preparation for February 1st. We don't know who the opponent will be, but the date is set. It's going to be on February 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia... It may be Israel Adesanya. There isn't much more of a "WOW" out there."
