Power Slap fans recently appreciated Paige VanZant's capacity to stay unfazed even after a hard strike. Most of them were pretty impressed by '12 Gauge's' performance at Power Slap 9 in Abu Dhabi as she brushed off a slap from Chelsea Dodson (wife of former UFC flyweight John Dodson) with ease.
VanZant tried multiple combat sports genres before signing with Dana White's Power Slap in June. She made her UFC debut in 2014 when she was just 20 years old. VanZant shone brightly in her first five UFC fights, amassing a record of 4-1. However, her run couldn't continue for long as she lost three out of her last four UFC fights, leading to her departure from the promotion.
Following her stint in the UFC, VanZant signed with BKFC and then with Misfits Boxing. But none of those tenures turned out to be long-lived and she returned to White's ventures and made her slap-fighting debut at Power Slap 8.
VanZant's Power Slap 9 performance showed that she has a tough chin. She managed to stay almost unfazed even after absorbing a buzzing strike from Dodson.

Paige VanZant's Power Slap 9 outing wasn't as successful as her debut
Paige VanZant appeared in slap-fighting for the first time at Power Slap 8 on June 28 this year. She made the most of the opportunity, claiming a unanimous decision victory against Christine Volmarans.
However, VanZant failed to earn a victory in her latest outing at Power Slap 9 against Chelsea Dodson and had to be satisfied with a draw.
Reports say that VanZant won the first and third rounds of the fight, but was booked for a clubbing foul in Round 2. Ultimately the fight ended in a unanimous draw with 28-28 on all judges' scorecards. An X post from MMA Junkie showcased how the fight ended, with the referee raising both VanZant's and Dodson's hands together.
