"She deserves this" - Lito Adiwang confident Denice Zamboanga will claim elusive world title at ONE Fight Night 27

Strawweight MMA dynamo Lito Adiwang believes Denice Zamboanga will finally accomplish her dream of hoisting ONE gold inside the Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, January 10.

The Filipino superstar and No.2-ranked contender collides with No.4-ranked Alyona Rassohyna to determine the ONE interim atomweight MMA world champion at ONE Fight Night 27 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Having seen 'The Menace's dream hit a halt on multiple occasions, the Soma Fight Club affiliate says Zamboanga fully deserves her shot at the crown. At the same time, he sees her prevailing with the 26-pound strap wrapped around her waist.

Lito Adiwang told ABS-CBN:

"I wish her nothing but the best for this fight. She deserves this. I will say this is her fight to lose for sure."

On paper, her all-around attributes could spell danger to the unwavering Ukranian star. Moreover, her striking base will come in handy against the more ground-reliant style of Rassohyna.

Whether or not she can punch her way to ONE gold remains to be seen, though. But it'll certainly be a perfect way for Zamboanga to achieve her career-long goal of becoming the first Filipina MMA world champion.
