Anissa Meksen plans to keep Jackie Buntan on her back foot.
After coming up short against Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom in December, Meksen will get another crack at 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold on Friday, Nov. 8 when she meets Buntan for the ONE strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE 169.
Emanating from the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, the event will host three massive ONE world title bouts, one of which is the first-ever meeting between Meksen — a seven-time titleholder — and Buntan who will be seeking her first world championship.

Looking ahead to their highly anticipated showdown, Meksen offered some insight into her game plan and how she plans to mitigate Buntan's impressive power. Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Meksen said:
"Yeah, of course. She doesn’t like pressure. She’s good when she’s moving forward, but that’s it."
Meksen goes into her first appearance of 2024 with 103 career victories on her resume, three of them coming inside the Circle.
However, 'C18' may be in for her toughest test to date when she meets one of the most powerful strikers in ONE Championship.
