Jackie Buntan feels an enormous sense of gratitude towards Janet Todd for going out of her way to prep her for her world title war with Anissa Meksen.
The Filipina-American standout has never once trained without her long-time friend and sparring partner at the Boxing Works facility in California. Retired ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'JT' Janet Todd, continues to be Buntan's mentor despite walking away from the sport for good.
With the inaugural ONE strawweight kickboxing belt on the line this Friday, Buntan expressed her appreciation to Todd for prepping her for her world title brawl against kickboxing superstar Anissa Meksen.
"Even though she's retired and still working, she still finds the time to be able to help me," Buntan told Beyond Kick. "She has been a huge help giving me what I need to see: running through drills, sparring, all of that. She's always in my corner."
