“She’ll desperately fight for the win” - Kana expects the best version of redemption-seeking Anissa Meksen at ONE Friday Fights 92

ONE debutant Kana Morimoto knows that a wounded animal is in its most dangerous state.

As such, she'll tread lightly when she shares the Lumpinee Stadium ring with Anissa Meksen in less than 24 hours at ONE Friday Fights 92: Sitthichai vs Shadow.

After winning her first three matches in the world's largest martial arts organization, the French-Algerian star has fallen on some rough times.

'C18' failed in her bid to capture the interim atomweight kickboxing world title against 'The Queen' Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom at ONE Friday Fights 46 last year.

Meksen then dropped her second straight title fight, failing to snag the inaugural women's strawweight kickboxing crown against Jackie Buntan at ONE 169 last November.

With redemption certainly on her opponent's mind, Kana expects the best version of Meksen once they trade heavy leather.

'Krusher Queen' said in an exclusive interview with ONE Championship:

“I’m training assuming I’ll face Anissa at her best. Given where she is in her career, she’s in a high-pressure situation, so I think she’ll desperately fight for the win. Given that, I’m preparing to face the strongest version of Anissa.”

Kana joined the home of martial arts with one mission in mind. The former K-1 Flyweight World Champion is eager to add a ONE Championship belt to her trophy case.

However, to earn her shot against undisputed atomweight kickboxing world champion Phetjeeja.

The Japanese veteran said in the same interview with ONE:

"If I show the crowd that it’s a clear win this Friday against Anissa Meksen, and it also depends on Chatri, but if it’s a clear win, then the next fight could be a title shot and I will be preparing for it."
