Controversial UFC welterweight Colby Covington is in full form today at the UFC Tampa pre-fight press conference. Speaking on fellow welterweight Ian Machado Garry and whether or not he'll fight him, 'Chaos' laid out some pretty peculiar terms for the Irishman.

The former interim UFC welterweight champion wants a specific set of stipulations for 'The Future' – and it involves his wife, Layla Anna-Lee. When asked if he's interested in fighting Garry, Covington told the press:

"Hey, if you want this fight, answer the three stipulations: turn on your comments, you wife wants to be so famous so bad, she's quoting Shakespeare, which is just weird in itself... Make a video begging for the fight. And if you really think you're gonna beat me, then agree that if you lose the fight, your wife has to be in my video for BC Game and we do an America's pick of the week for the people."

"If he meets those stipulations, you know. All he has to do is turn on his comments on like, why is he so sensitive with the fans. All he has to do is have his wife make a video. She loves making videos...She loves to put herself in the limelight and act like she's a part of the business. If he's so confident, let's put a risk on the table, you know."

Colby Covington on Shavkat Rakhmonov's UFC 310 performance

Colby Covington's Dec. 14 opponent, Joaquin Buckley, was supposed to face Ian Machado Garry in the main event of UFC Tampa. Garry was plucked out of the card to replace an injured Belal Muhammad to face the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov in the co-main event of UFC 310.

Covington then stepped in on late notice to replace Garry, who ended up losing to Rakhmonov via unanimous decision.

When asked what he thought of the Kazakh's fight-winning performance, Colby Covington admitted to not having seen the bout. He did say this, however:

"I heard it was boring. I heard his stock went down. He got exposed. He was all hype, you know. He's got all finishes against all nobody's. He beat the bus boy from Outback Steakhouse that serves blooming onions like, how prestigious is that?" [6:50]

Covington has not been in action for nearly a year heading into his fight with Joaquin Buckley on Saturday. His last outing was a loss to former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, marking the third time 'Chaos' lost a UFC undisputed title fight in as many attempts.
