Fairtex promoter and storyteller Matt Lucas has nothing but high praise for prized ward 'The Hurricane' Smilla Sundell.

Sundell is the reigning and undisputed ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world champion. At just 19 years of age, the Swedish sensation is the youngest world champion in ONE Championship, and subsequently one of the most dominant titleholders in the promotion.

Lucas has worked extensively with Sundell, and says he has rarely seen a fighter who combines the god-given physical gifts with hard work and skill as 'The Hurricane'.

In a recent interview with Calf Kick Sports, Lucas built up Sundell as a fighter fans should rally behind.

He said:

"Thank you for everyone who supports Smilla. Obviously, she's a phenomenal athlete that deserves a lot of recognition. More importantly, she's a good person. That's why I like Smilla. She's the most dangerous teenager I know, and she's an amazing person. I want to see the world of sports have more good people and less assholes. That's why you should support Smilla, not an asshole."

Sundell is not only one of the best fighters in the world, she's also one of the most likeable. The 19-year-old's positive and bubbly personality is a stark contrast to the loud, vulgar, and boisterous persona other fighters try to emulate today.
