Sage Northcutt recently opened up about his married life and shared how proud he is of his wife.
The American fighter tied the knot in December 2021 to actress Amanda Leighton, who, Sage Northcutt said, has been doing so well in her chosen field so much that he thinks his 'Super' moniker could be applied to her better half.
In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, 'Super' said of his wife:
“She is, she’s super talented. She’s got voiceovers on Netflix. She’s Poppy in Trolls, she’s got a show called Amphibia. She has a bunch of acting, she’s super talented.”

Sage Northcutt, meanwhile, resumes his injury-sidetracked fighting career on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in Broomfield, Colorado.
It will be ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground event in the United States and marks the return of Northcutt after a three-and-a-half-year hiatus due to various medical issues and considerable recovery time.
Northcutt will face off against streaking Ahmed Mujtaba of Pakistan in a lightweight showdown.
Sage Northcutt has vowed to make a winning return, working on his skills as well as his strength and conditioning with his team in the US.
ONE Fight Night 10 is headlined by a trilogy fight between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and rival Adriano Moraes. It is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Sage Northcutt explains why he pulled out of Shinya Aoki fight in 2021
American fighter Sage Northcutt is making his circle return in May this year but was initially slated for a comeback as early as 2021 until COVID-19 messed it all up.
'Super' has not fought competitively since his first-round knockout loss to Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre in his ONE debut in May 2019.
In the aftermath of the fight, Northcutt sustained multiple facial fractures which required surgery and a significant recovery period.
In 2021, he was ruled good to go and was set to face Japanese legend Shinya Aoki but was forced to pull out after catching the coronavirus.
In the aforementioned interview, Sage Northcutt shared what he went through with COVID-19, saying:
"It was super weird. So I caught COVID, being about three weeks out from actually flying out for my fight overseas. I caught it and didn’t even know from the first couple of days. I kept trying to train through and started getting run down."
Now healthy, 'Super' is excited to get back to fighting once again and compete at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Broomfield, Colorado.
He is facing off with Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba in a lightweight battle.
Away from competition for quite some time, Northcutt is using his return fight as a platform to reintroduce himself to fight fans.
