Teen phenom Adrian Lee has embarked on what he hopes to be a successful career in ONE Championship. He is grateful for the support not only from his family but also from his girlfriend, who is alongside him in pursuit of his professional goals.

Lee, 18, younger brother of double ONE world champion Christian and retired ONE superstar Angela, spoke about his relationship with his high school sweetheart and how she is making his transition to the pros more seamless.

The Singaporean-American fighter told ONE Championship in an interview:

"I'm very grateful to have her because she's very supportive, and she understands the fight game and what it takes to get into it. She understands the balance and why sometimes I have to put more into MMA or the other way around."

Prior to joining ONE Championship last year, Lee was a decorated amateur wrestler and a four-time national youth MMA champion in Hawaii.

Adrian Lee looks to make it back-to-back wins at ONE 168

Adrian Lee is looking to make it back-to-back wins when he returns to action on Sept. 6 at ONE 168 in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A.

The Prodigy Training Center affiliate will go up against promotion-debuting Nico Cornejo of the United States in a lightweight MMA showdown, part of the 12-fight offering happening at the 21,000-seater Ball Arena, home of the NBA's Denver Nuggets.

It is Adrian Lee's second outing in ONE following his successful debut back in June, where he won by submission over Australian Antonio Mammarella.

Lee signed with ONE late last year and is the latest martial artist in his family to compete in the promotion, after older sister and retired ONE superstar Angela, double ONE world champion Christian, and late fighter Victoria.

Meanwhile, out to halt his ascent at ONE 168 is Cornejo, 34, a noted wrestler looking to make a big splash in his first match in the "Home of Martial Arts."

ONE 168: Denver will air live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription. Tickets for the event are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
