Talented striker 'Mini T' Danial Williams may be impressing fans all around the globe with his skills today, but the Thai-born Australian athlete struggled with confidence when he was younger.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Danial Williams revealed his previous shortcomings when it came to speaking with girls. He explained:
"I was a super shy kid. Super shy. I had a group of friends that I was comfortable with, but I just couldn’t, like, try and get a girlfriend. I was petrified of girls. I couldn’t speak to them even if my life depended on it. So it was quite challenging in high school and just making connections like that."
From being a shy kid to fighting in front of millions of eyes is quite a change. The Aussie is a renaissance man of combat sports, having international experience in MMA and Muay Thai.

Danial Williams aims to inspire
The 29-year-old fighter wants to use his skills in the ONE circle to inspire the next generation of athletes. Danial Williams is looking to uplift young viewers all around the globe.
While speaking in an interview with ONE Championship, 'Mini T' explained his goals. He said:
"That’s my goal. Three sports, inspire the next generation. They can be four-sport world champions now. I’m training kids that are really good at jiu-jitsu, really good at Muay Thai, already starting MMA at nine and seven years old."
Williams is also incredibly happy that ONE Championship is promoting the sport he loves: Muay Thai. ONE hosts weekly events at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
On this partnership, 'Mini T' told ONE:
“There’s not much platform for us fighters. There was no big goal for Muay Thai. ONE started caged Muay Thai fights in small gloves. Now, they’ve got these weekly shows at Lumpinee, and every Muay Thai fighter wants to fight at Lumpinee.”
