Jake Paul and Tommy Fury's long-anticipated matchup finally got some clarity as Paul suggested a date for the two to box on.
Paul quoted a video of Fury's dad John claiming that a verbal agreement had been reached between him and Paul's manager about a fight in February 2023:
"He's agreed to [a] February bout, shook me hand, gave me his word of honor, his manager. It's happening in February."
'The Problem Child' addressed the Fury brothers' promoter Frank Warren on Twitter and expressed his intent to fight. He also presented a deadline for the opposing camp to come up with a signed contract for a bout in February. Paul tweeted:

"Dear @FrankWarren, I agree to fight Tommy [Fury] in Manchester or London in Feb. I’ll come to his country, no more running. His baby is due then & you’ve said it’s no issue. Since John is adamant we’ve agreed, I am giving you 7 days to present a signed contract by Tommy, or I’m moving on."

Jake Paul criticizes Tommy Fury for missing weight
Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have been close to meeting inside the boxing ring twice before, with both fights getting canceled due to different issues.
Fury pulled out once due to an injury and then cited visa troubles the second time around. Ahead of his recent exhibition match against Rolly Lambert, where he yet again encountered weight issues, Paul called him out on Twitter.
Paul listed Fury's missed fights and shamed him and his promoters:
"Tommy Fury… You're getting paid a lot of money to be a professional. But time & time again you show that you are not [a professional]. Missed a fight because of 'broken ribs', missed a fight because you 'missed a flight' & now you miss weight by 7 pounds! I feel sorry for Frank & George Warren & the Fury name."

The recent weight-cutting incident was ultimately deemed a misunderstanding, and the fight proceeded on 13 November 2022 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Paul showed up to the fight and heckled Fury throughout his match from the commentary booth.
The aftermath of the fight saw wild scenes as John Fury removed his shirt inside the ring to challenge Jake Paul following a verbal exchange between his son and Paul.
